When Gina Rodriguez is on a roll, she means it, and after winning a Golden Globe, taking the leap to Hollywood films (in "Deepwater Horizon") and doing numerous magazine cover stories, the “Jane the Virgin” star is writing a memoir! The book, titled “I Can and I Will: Tools My Daddy Gave Me” will be inspired by all the amazing knowledge her father’s passed on to her. I’m actually working on a book right now that’s going to give the world what my father gave to me. I definitely will be keeping my ears peeled for his nuggets of knowledge and wisdom, like, “Dad, you got any goodness to share with me, please?” Rodriguez explained to TIME.

The actress has been very open about her love for family and she brought us all to tears in her Golden Globe acceptance speech, where she thanked her family and her father. “My father would always remind me to give away your blessings to make room for more,” she said. “This book has been a dream of mine for many years now, a love letter to a father who has given me strength I only know is right to share with others. If you can move, stretch, teach, inspire, encourage and motivate others by telling your stories why wouldn't you?”

Gina took to her social media to make the big announcement after closing the deal with Simon and Schuster to publish. However, she has yet to reveal its debut date. “I want to share not only my heart but my journey with all of you in hopes you can take away something that empowers and ignites your inner strength and potential! I love you all so much and if I could I'd squeeze each one of you!” The memoir will also reportedly talk about the rest of her inspiring family, including her hard-working sisters and supporting mom.
