Jimmy Fallon is set to host the Golden Globes 2017 live for NBC NBC

Awards season is in full swing and the road to the Oscars is starting with the Golden Globes 2017. Jimmy Fallon is set to host the glamorous gala where the best in film and television will be honored. Guests presenters include Latin stars like Diego Luna, Sofía Vergara and Zoe Saldana.

Meryl Streep will be honored during the gala for her extraordinary career in the entertainment industry. Other confirmed celebrities include Drew Barrymore, Steve Carell, Priyanka Chopra, Matt Damon, Viola Davis, Laura Dern, Goldie Hawn, Anna Kendrick and Nicole Kidman.

As the award show goes on these are some of the confirmed stars that will also present: Brie Larson, Sienna Miller, Mandy Moore, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Timothy Olyphant, Chris Pine, Eddie Redmayne, Amy Schumer, Sylvester Stallone, Justin Theroux, Milo Ventimiglia and Reese Witherspoon.

WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH

NBC is the official channel for the Golden Globes. The fun starts at Sunday, January 8 at 8pm ET/5pm PT, with the red carpet arrivals special airing one hour earlier. A live stream of the event will be available using the NBC app for mobile devices, but a user authentication is needed.

In the movies categories, the top award of the night is for Best Motion Picture, Drama where the following are nominated: “Hacksaw Ridge,” “Hell Or High Water,” “Lion,” “Manchester By The Sea” and “Moonlight.”

Actresses nominated for Best Performance In A Motion Picture, Drama are: Amy Adams for “Arrival,” Jessica Chastain for “Miss Sloane,” Isabell Huppert for “Elle,” Ruth Negga for “Loving” and Natalie Portman for “Jackie”.

Actors who are competing for the Best Performance In A Motion Picture, Drama are: Casey Affleck for “Manchester By The Sea,” Joel Edgerton for “Loving,” Andrew Garfield for “Hacksaw Ridge,” Viggo Mortensen for “Captain Fantastic” and Denzel Washington for “Fences.”

The top award in the television categories for Best Drama Series are the following: “The Crown,” “Game Of Thrones,” “Stranger Things,” “This Is Us” and “Westworld.”
