A new year brings with it all the glitz and glamour of award season and kicking off in spectacular fashion are the Golden Globes 2017. The show that honors the best in television and film will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon who will bring his light-heartedness and good humor to the gala which is set to air on Sunday, January 8 at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

Latinos will be in the mix during the event as the first wave of presenters confirm various Hollywood stars. Diego Luna, star of the boxoffice smash "Rogue One", will be presenting during the gala as well as Zoe Saldana and Sofia Vergara.

Last year, mexican actor Gael García Bernal took home an accolade for his work on "Mozart In The Jungle." Fans can only dream of a Diego-Gael reunion on stage to remember "Y Tu Mamá También" and "Rudo y Cursi."

Actresses nominated for Best Performance In A Motion Picture, Drama are: Amy Adams for “Arrival,” Jessica Chastain for “Miss Sloane,” Isabell Huppert for “Elle,” Ruth Negga for “Loving” and Natalie Portman for “Jackie”.

Actors who are competing for the Best Performance In A Motion Picture, Drama are: Casey Affleck for “Manchester By The Sea,” Joel Edgerton for “Loving,” Andrew Garfield for “Hacksaw Ridge,” Viggo Mortensen for “Captain Fantastic” and Denzel Washington for “Fences.”

The top award in the television categories for Best Drama Series are the following: “The Crown,” “Game Of Thrones,” “Stranger Things,” “This Is Us” and “Westworld.”
