Google is holding a major event on October 4 at 9am so mark the date if you’re ready to see the new gadgets and gizmos the San Francisco based empire has been cooking up this year. During its I/O 2016 event earlier this year, Google gave a preview of some of the products and services that it had in the works, including its recently released Allo messaging app, Duo video calling app. Android N Developer was available for app creators at the time, while Google gave us a rundown of Android Wear 2, Daydream VR and Google Home.

October 4 will be the day that Google will reintroduce us to the aforementioned products as well as some of the rumored hardware that’s expected to be announced. As Arstechnica reports, we will surely welcome the Google Hardware division on October 4.

These tangible Google products will have the brand’s own stamp on it, which is evident in the company’s “Made by Google” campaign teaser preceding the upcoming October event.

With all of the hype that’s been swarming around Google’s upcoming flagship phones, the Pixel and Pixel XL, these two will undoubtedly be the main attraction of the show. Mashable points out that this new duo of smartphones may replace the existing Nexus brand of Google smartphones.

Since the release of the Nexus One in 2010, Google collaborated with smartphone manufacturers to produce its flagships including HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung. For its follow ups to the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the next generation of Google phones will reportedly ditch the manufacturer’s logo and solely feature Google’s logo. According the Verge, HTC is behind the manufacturing of the Pixel and Pixel XL and both phones will feature a premium design. Google’s latest mobile operating system, Android 7.1 Nougat is expected to debut on the Pixel phones before it rolls out as a software update to existing device running on Android 7.0.

Not much is known about what Android Nougat is all about except that it has a newly designed user interface complete with a revamped icons and app launcher.

Another huge announcement expected at Google’s October 4 event is the reveal of Andromeda, a whole new next level operating system for devices. SVP of Google Android, Chrome and Play, Hiroshi Lockheimer has already dropped a hint that something major is happening to Android soon. Whatever Google has up its sleeves could forever change the mobile platform as we know it.
