Earlier this week, we reported that a "GTA 5" source code leak via Xbox Live Marketplace revealed a "Test DLC" description that suggested that a new update will soon implement a redesigned leaderboard for GTA Online. Now, "GTA 5" tipster TehECB2 has discovered yet another source code leak. No doubt, "GTA 5" is up to something.
According to TehECB2, the next "GTA 5" update is tentatively named the "MPLTS" DLC. According to our favorite "GTA 5" tipster DomisLive, MPLTS could potentially stand for "MultiPlayer Last Team Standing." Of course, MPLTS will not be the final title name of the next "GTA 5" DLC. That said, we can still try and make out what to expect in the upcoming "GTA 5" 1.17 update.
"GTA 5" already features a "Last Team Standing" game mode in GTA Online. However, we wouldn't say that the possible "MPLTS" abbreviation is misleading either. Given the introduction of an all-new leaderboard system on "GTA 5" Online, it wouldn't be a surprise if a new "Last Team Standing" game mode was introduced as well.
The anticipated "GTA 5" update is expected to drop on Sept. 30, the last Tuesday of the month. Some "GTA 5" fans will know that Tuesday is consistently the preferred day of the week for DLC releases. The latest "GTA 5" 1.17 update is the most tight-lipped in recent memory. We are definitely expecting a big official announcement to drop soon. Stay tuned as we learn more in the days ahead!
