GTA V Veterans Day
Will a new Veterans Day DLC for "GTA 5" arrive on Nov. 11? Rockstar Games

The upcoming "GTA 5" 1.18 update release date has been elusive. Initially, all speculations pointed towards a special "GTA 5" Halloween DLC content. Halloween, Oct. 31, has come and not only did we not get the 1.18 update, Rockstar Games didn't even drop a hint on when the next "GTA 5" update is slated to arrive.

Despite the slightly disappointing end to the month of October, we know for a fact that Rockstar Games is going to deliver at least one big release in the month of November: "GTA 5" for PS4 and Xbox One will finally arrive on Nov. 18. What's more, the Official Playstation Magazine has also confirmed that the next-gen "GTA 5" title will run 1080p resolution.

"Glimmering 1080p presentation, hugely increased draw distance, 100 new songs, fresh wild-life, a bumper version of GTA Online, this is sandbox you've dreamt about ever since you slotted Sony's angular baby under your TV," Official Playstation Magazine announced. That said, it is unconfirmed whether "GTA 5" for Xbox One will run 1080p as well. Until we receive confirmation, we will reserve Rockstar Games the benefit of the doubt as we are confident that the developer will never deliver a half-hearted "GTA 5" to a next-gen console.

However, the arrival of "GTA 5" to the next-gen console does bring along a number of concerns to "GTA 5" gamers on PS3 and Xbox 360. Most importantly, will Rockstar Games abandon fresh DLC development for PS3 and Xbox 360 upon the release of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC title?

The answer should be obvious, but it is a relief to see the sentiment reinforced by GTA tipster and YouTuber DomisLive. Rockstar simply cannot afford to ignore the massive "GTA 5" community within PS3 and Xbox 360, which is expected to remain larger than the predicted volume of "GTA 5" communities at PS4 and Xbox One. By doing this, Rockstar Games will not only retain its loyal fans, but will also sell more Shark Cards as well.

With the elephant in the room properly addressed, let's get down to business: what should we expect in the "GTA 5" 1.18 update? According to another "GTA 5" tipster iCrazyTeddy, there could be an Army DLC Veterans Day Update. According to iCrazyTeddy, evidence of a special Army DLC were discovered as early as August. At the time, the "GTA 5" Veterans Day Update was rumored to feature special face paints, and even a new Hydra fighter jet too.

Veterans Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 11, which would be the perfect date to release the rumored "GTA 5" Veterans Day Update. Stay tuned in the days ahead as we learn more about the upcoming "GTA 5" 1.18 Update. We'll also keep you all up to date on information regarding the rumored Zombie DLC as well.
