Last week, we announced Rockstar Games is preparing a "GTA 5" 1.16 update that is slated to arrive Tuesday, Aug. 12. The latest info on the new 1.16 DLC was leaked from a source code that was simply titled "DLC Pack." Unfortunately, we have yet to confirm exactly what we should be expecting from the latest update, Heists DLC or otherwise.

YouTube "GTA 5" leakers including Chr0m3xMoDz, DomisLive, and iCrazyTeddy have done a phenomenal job at breaking the latest "GTA 5" stories, including the past "I'm Not a Hipster" and "Independence Day" DLC. Possibly as a response to the leaks, Rockstar has been particularly coy with the latest update, such as titling the source code as "DLC Pack" to conceal the actual title of the new update.

Despite Rockstar's efforts to keep from spilling DLC information, leakers are not feeling discouraged in the least. Based on past DLC launches, leakers have determined that source codes are usually discovered one week ahead of its official release. In addition, because the last couple of DLC's have all been released on a Tuesday, leakers determined that the new "GTA 5" 1.16 DLC will arrive on the next coming Tuesday, which is tomorrow, Aug. 12.

Based on the tone of most of the latest "GTA 5" YouTube videos, the new 1.16 update is unlikely to be the Heists DLC. According to IBTimes India, there has been another DLC updates reported, including a potential single-player update. Let's not also forget that a highly anticipated Zombies DLC has been generating a lot of buzz as well.

Rockstar had announced the "GTA 5" Heists DLC for many months now, but we are no closer to understanding when the update will arrive. That said, Heists news ranged as far back as February.

"We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can," said Rockstar.

But why has there been such a difficult delay for the Heists DLC in the first place? According to IBTimes India, the delay falls to the abuse of money glitches, which have rendered Rockstar Games completely preoccupied with creating patches to stop the cheating. Tentative "GTA 5" Heists DLC release date predictions suggest the update will coincide with the release of "GTA 5" on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. According to VG247, the PC, PS4, Xbox One release date is Nov. 14.
