GTA 5 PC 4
The "GTA 5" PC release date is April 14. Rockstar

The wait is over! After five months since "GTA 5" was released for the current gen PS4 and Xbox One, and after 18 months since it was released for the last gen PS3 and Xbox 360, the long awaited "GTA 5" PC version is finally here. However, it's only "almost" here for some.

According to a number of reports, "GTA 5" PC gamers are experiencing unexpected problems and even trouble launching the game at all. Here are some of the most concerning reported "GTA 5" PC bugs and glitches so far:

Windows Username Bug: The most common glitch that is preventing PC gamers from playig "GTA 5" is an error message that prompts in a pop up window in the installer. It reads, "The Rockstar update service is unavailable (code 1)." Apparently, this means that your Windows username contains a character that the "GTA 5" launcher has trouble reading.
Rockstar recommends PC gamers to create a new Admin account in Windows followed by restarting the system in order to work around the error. Begin the installation process in the newly created account and the game should work. Eventually, Rockstar will issue a patch to solve the matter, but the solution will be useful during the interim.

Social Club Bug: The second common glitch involve issues regarding "GTA 5" Social Club. Some players report that the "GTA 5" launcher fails to initialize. Rockstar recommends to uninstall and reinstall the launcher as a fix (Uninstall the launcher only, not "GTA 5" itself). Before uninstalling the launcher, be sure the following files are not running in your task manager:

GTA5.exe
PlayGTAV.exe
GTAVLauncher.exe
Finally, run the launcher as administrator.

Zlib Call Error: This error involves a message that reads "ERR_GEN_ZLIB_2 Failed zlib call. Please reboot or reinstall the game.” Unfortunately, the error most likely suggests that the installation data is corrupt, which means a reboot will not fix the issue.
PC Gamers with the disc version can reinstall "GTA 5." For those that downloaded "GTA 5" via Steam, verify game cache to see if the installation can be repaired. If not, uninstall the game and then reinstall via the Social Club GTAV Activation Page.
