Telemundo shocked its viewers when it axed "Guerra De Idolos" from their primetime block, shipping it to Saturdays. Alberto Guerra, one of the stars of the telenovela, has reacted to the news following the last-minute decision. "In the area of ratings, programming, how it's performing, making changes, doesn't affect me," he told Fórmula Espectacular. "I feel proud of 'Guerra de Idolos' and all the changes always have a risk factor."

"Guerra de Idolos," the drama touted as the first musical telenovela for the Spanish-language network failed to receive traction from viewers and has been shipped to Saturday nights at 9pm/8c after only 2 weeks of broadcasting. Programming guides on cable stilled showed the series scheduled to air at 9pm/8c on Monday, which led everyone to believe it was a last minute decision that executives made following the ratings report from the previous week.

"La Querida Del Centauro 2", which just premiered on May 2 and has not faired any better opposite "La Piloto" on Univision, is taking over the time slot and airing 2-hour episodes. Previews on Telemundo still announced the next new episode for its usual time slot at 10pm/9c, but an on-air bug announced the new time slot for 9pm/8c on Monday.

Telemundo is expected to announce their new programming next week at the annual Upfront event in New York City. The network was to brag about their amazing success last year under the theme of "shift happens" as for the first time in years they had a solid block that gave rival Univision major headaches. This year the picture is quite different and nothing on the network has been able to stick and catch on with viewers. Telemundo still has it's "holy grail" with Season 5 of "El Señor De Los Cielos" already in production and teasers rotating on tv.
