Gwen Stefani-Blake Shelton Update: Will He Pop The Question On Her Birthday?

Gwen Stefani is reportedly expecting Blake Shelton to surprise her on her 47th birthday with an engagement ring. The news comes amid several rumors surrounding Stefani and Shelton's engagement and marriage plans.

A source told Hollywood Life that the "Hollaback Girl" singer is excited about her birthday on Oct. 3, and is hoping that Shelton will propose to her. The two announced that they were in a relationship in November 2015 which has gone from strength to strength since then.

“They both are going to take a few days off to spend some quality time together,” the source told Hollywood Life. “She is definitely expecting and hoping for a ring, and can’t wait to celebrate her birthday with Blake and her kids.”

Stefani and Shelton reportedly got close to each other last year when they were both judges on "The Voice." According to reports, the two helped each other when they were both trying to cope with their splits from their respective then-partners — Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert.

“Gwen and Blake are still going strong,” the source said, adding: “He wants to marry Gwen, but has not told anyone his ideas or timing for popping the question. He is keeping that very close to his chest.”

Over the last few months, rumors have surfaced about Shelton and Stefani's marriage, with some reports claiming the two are expecting a baby.

Last week, Stefani neither confirmed nor denied the wedding rumors during an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” When the daytime talk show host asked the “Used To Love You” singer when she was getting married so she could adequately prepare her schedule for it, Stefani responded saying: “Oh, you’re crazy... I’ll let you know.”

TMZ reported last month that Shelton and his girlfriend hired celebrity event planner Jerri Woolworth to help them start planning their nuptials. However, the two are yet to confirm their engagement and wedding rumors.
