Hair Color of The Year
Rose Blonde and Smokey Grays are on-trend shades for 2018. Learn how to achieve at home a more sophisticated and glamorous look or an edgier, 90's-inspired look, by just using L'Oréal Paris. L'Oreal Paris

The leading beauty brand and company that invented hair color, just revealed its inaugural Hair Colors of the Year. L'Oréal Paris introduced the Rose Blonde and Smokey Grays formulas, selected by the brand's color designers after months of analyzing hair color trends, studying search data and traveling the world, drawing inspiration from the fashion, design, art, music and automobile industries.

As part of the Hair Colors of the Year announcement, L'Oréal Paris is unveiling two new product collections – Superior Preference Rose Blonde and Feria Glam Grunge – allowing people to easily achieve these on-trend shades at-home.

The collection is available in Dark Rose Blonde and Medium Rose Blonde. The Feria Glam Grunge collection blends the smokey undertones of grunge with L'Oréal Paris sophistication. The four, jewel-toned shades – Dusty Mauve, Downtown Denim, Vintage Teal and Purple Smoke – were inspired by cutting-edge fashion trends and hair color artistry.

The rose blonde hair is a new spin on blonde hair featuring warm rose gold tones. The best part? Rose blonde hair can complement any skin tone, meaning it’s sure to look positively stunning on you!

According to the brand, the best way to prep your hair for this color is to think in the condition of your hair. If you already have blonde hair, then you can simply add rose gold tones to your hair to get the look. But if you have black hair and want to rock rose blonde hair, then keep in mind that this is going to take some work. Lightening your hair will require bleaching—and the darker your starting shade, the more time it’ll take to achieve your desired level of rose blonde hair.

Once you’re done with your rose blonde hair dye job, take a look at your hair care routine. Color-treated hair requires special care, so reach for a system of shampoo and conditioner formulated for colored hair.

The hair color trend of the ‘90s is popular again—but with a super-fun twist. The dirty cool gray hair that was just about everywhere in the ‘90s is back, now infused with shimmering jeweled tones like denim and mauve. Glam grunge goes beyond just being a hair color—it’s a complete style!

The brand suggests to try the L’Oréal Paris Féria Glam Grunge Collectionat-home. The hair color collection is available in four on-trend shades you’re sure to love: Downtown Denim, Purple Smoke, Vintage Teal, and Dusty Mauve. Make sure to follow the instructions included on the box, and keep an extra at-home hair color kit on hand so that you can touch up your hair color once your roots start growing in.
