'Halo: Nightfall' Release Date News: Who Is Agent Jameson Locke? [EXTENDED TRAILER]

How often does a video game become so popular that it becomes a TV series? "Halo: Nightfall" will be a digital feature written by "Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring and produced by Scott Free Productions. The series will be released weekly on the Halo Channel on Xbox One. In addition, the complete series will be avaiilalbe at the same time with the purchase of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection." The "Halo: Nightfall" release date is Nov. 11.

"Halo: Nightfall" takes place between "Halo 4" and "Halo 5: Guardians." According to halo.wikia, "Nightfall" follows the origin story of a legendary manhunter known as Jameson Locke, played by actor Mike Colter. Locke leads his team of Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) agents to investigate terrorist activity on the distant colony of Sedra. Locke and his team will be caught in the middle of a major terrorist attack and will be forced to coordinate with a Sedran commander, despite a history of mistrust.

Jameson Locke will not only be the main protagonist in the "Halo: Nightfall" series, but will also be the playable character in the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" video game for Xbox One. Lieutenant Commander Jameson Locke is a SPARTAN-IV supersolider as well as an agent serving under ONI's Section II. Locke is regarded as an Acquisitions Specialist, tasked to retrive important objects from the enemy and to perform the assassination or tracking of high-profile individuals.

As the "Halo: Nightfall" release date approaches, the franchise releases an all-new extended teaser that features actors Mike Colter, Christina Chong, and Halo director Frank O'Connor as well as executive producer David Zucker.
