He is hilarious, handome and the perfect definition of a "Latin Lover." Mexican actor Jaime Camil, best known for his roles as Fernando Mendiola in the telenovela “La Fea Mas Bella” and Rogelio de la Vega in “Jane the Virgin,” is now venturing into a totally unknown world for him and everything is thanks to his children.

"Our children spend a lot of time on the screens, so if they are going to be with an electronic equipment it is best for them to do so while they are getting educated, developing their intellect, creativity, ability to solve problems, psychomotor skills, etc.," says Camil to Latin Times.

"I have a six-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son, and when I saw the promotion on TV of the game I loved it and said 'that's great,' so I bought it, and since it arrived to our house my daughter Elena has being so fascinated that I told her, 'Hey, Elena, it's my turn to play,'" said Jaime, laughing.

The game is non-other than the the award-winning platform that is changing the way kids play and learn on the iPad. Osmo Monster is the first ever mixed reality experience that animates any physical drawing – and by any, we mean anything your creative kid sketches on the white board.

The amazing and interactive game is starred by Mo the Monster, a furry orange friend with whom children ages 4 to 10 co-create animated activities using the Osmo system and newly launched Creative Set. When Mo requests various objects, kids respond to him by creating real-world drawings that Osmo’s reflective AI technology incorporates into Mo’s digital world on an iPad.

The actor told Latin Times that after he saw his daughter's reaction with the game, he decided to gift the system to all the kids in his family and friends, and gave a shout out on social media to the company, and that’s how organically, Mo the Monster became a bilingual character and his voice in Spanish now belongs to the multitalented Jaime Camil.

The company creator of Osmo Monster replied to Camil and that’s how they started exploring the possibility of doing a Spanish version of the game. The 44-year-old Mexican star feels relieved that now his children will have the possibility of practicing Spanish even though they live in the United States, while at the same time they are doing what they like the most, which is play.

"Instead of it being an imposition of the house that the children do not forget their roots and the Spanish language when they live in a Hispanic family residing in the United States, if parents let the children play with Mo in Spanish they will connect organically with the language,” assures Camil.

Jaime also points out that neither parents nor the toy stores should go against the evolution of life, and should adapt to the times. "Children know how to use an iPad better than any adult," says Camil. "The best thing is to select more quality in the games and on the device." The actor suggests that all the time spent in front of an electronic tablet should be of benefit and not a lost time.

Due to his commitments, Jaime told Latin Times that he decided to record the voice for Mo in a single day and without breaking any working regulations time the final product was achieved in a record time of only eight hours.
