Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero have welcomed their baby boy they have named Martin. The Real Madrid goalkeeper and the sportscaster have shared the first photo of their son where we can see Casillas holding him, although the newborn's face is not visible. "Who would have told me that at 32 years of life that the best gift from the Three Wise Men would be now and not during my innocent days," the photo caption read. "Welcome to my world Martin." Iker also updated his Twitter account with the news of the birth, "Martín is already here, really happy the three of us together!!"

"Hello, I want to share with you the most important and exciting moment of my life, the birth of my son," the soccer star wrote on his website. "After long months of waiting, Martin is here. He has weighed 3.850 kg (8.5 lbs) and he and his mother are perfect and they are now resting. I am tremendously happy that this moment has finally arrived and that everything turned out well, no doubt 2014 has arrived on a good note." Casillas thanked his fans for all their support during this process. "Thank you for always being there. I wanted to communicate it through IkerCasillasWorld because it is a site I manage and my most loyal friends and followers will see."

Casillas and Carbonero's relationship has been under the watchful eye of the press especially during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Sara covered the massive soccer event and soon a report suggested that Sara's reporting of a game between Spain and Switzerland caused Casillas to get distracted, causing Spain to lose the match. Spain ended up winning the tournament and the famous kiss between the two during a live interview after the victory made the world rounds.
