Gone, but never forgotten! That's Selena Quintanilla, the Tejano artist who passed away on March 31 1995 and whose legacy is stronger than ever almost 25 years later. The late Mexican-American artist was known for her captivating Tejano music and cumbia tracks and although she was baptized the Queen of Tejano, Selena also had a passion for pop and dance music. Despite the genre, Selena always expressed her heartfelt feelings in a song. Whether it was a song about love, dancing or a broken heart. Considering she's one of the most influential and inspirational Latina artists in pop culture today, we celebrate International Women's Day with some of her best lyrics about girl power!
