"It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" returns tonight for Episode 4 of Season 9 with "Mac and Dennis Buy A Timeshare Online". Tonight, according to a press release from FXX, the gang "does their best to recoup their investments in questionable schemes by dumping their losses on Ben the soldier while trying to avoid being duped again by whatever mastermind is pulling their strings." Scroll down to the bottom of the page to check out a suitably ridiculous promo clip (Frank is wearing diapers - what else needs to be said?).

The show appears to be hitting its stride in its first three episodes of Season 9. Last week, in "The Gang Tries Desperately To Win An Award", the Gang kicked things off by riffing about how their bar never gets nominated for "best bar" awards - itself a reference to the show's apparent unpopularity with the Emmys or any other television awards. The Gang says they don't care about being nominated, because awards are stupid; it is a little odd, though, right?; they don't care; it's lame, and it makes them look "like a bunch of assholes". We also got two new songs from Charlie, who actually happens to be a pretty decent singer.

It happens that the insanity of the show's characters has a rival in that of the show's fans. If you watch any of the major Philadelphia sports teams, chances are you've spotted a "Green Man" gyrating moronically in the bleachers; if you've been in the city for Halloween, the same probably applies. But Kaitlin Olson told Metro Entertainment recently about something even more egregious. "The weirdest thing is people getting our [five] faces tattooed on their bodies," she said. "And it's not just one or two, it's happened, like, a big handful of times. And I am shocked every single time. People will tweet us pictures." She went on to advise against it, saying, "The show is going to end one day. And that body will - hopefully - be around for a very long time."

Glenn Howerton has said that the Gang's ninth season will feature episodes about Thanksgiving, "Lethal Weapon 6," and a flu epidemic, among others. One of them, titled "Flowers for Charlie", was written by "Game of Thrones" co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. "It's kind of like 'Limitless,' where I'm taking a pill to be more smarter," Charlie Day has said of that episode. You can catch "Mac and Dennis Buy A Timeshare" and every other new episode here as they stream live at 10 pm on FXX.
