After recently announcing a fall tour in 2015, Jarabe de Palo have to now pause their gigs following the tragic health news that one of their band members received.
The Spanish rock band's frontman, Pau Donés, revealed on social media and via a video on YouTube that he's been detected with colon cancer. "Sorry for being disconnected, but 20 days ago I went from a small stomach ache to undergoing operation for colon cancer," he wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself on a hospital bed.
He emphasized on his health news via a YouTube video published September 1st on the band's official channel. "Cancer is like a ghost that appears out of nowhere, without warning. That's why it's important to always be alert," he said, stating that doctors caught the cancer on time before developing to a more serious stage.
The "Grita" singer is currently resting and promised his fans that even though the fall tour has been cancelled, Jarabe de Palo will be back on stage in 2016. Check out the entire video below:
