The Twitter-sphere was in chaos with reports that Mexican actress, Angélica Vale was to play Jenni Rivera in a concert movie scheduled for release in July. While Angélica Vale thanked fans for the suggestion through her personal Twitter, she did confirm that she has no plans to portray the deceased singer and has no knowledge of the movie.

According to Access Hollywood, a source close to the Rivera family does confirm a concert movie featuring Rivera is in the works. The film will feature the late star's last concert in Monterrey, Mexico which was filmed the night before the fateful plane crash in early December.

While the rumors of the concert movie are true, it seems as though Angélica Vale was not offered the role of Rivera. Her mother even confirms it.

Mexican actress Angélica María, who is known as "Mexico's Sweetheart" also, took to her personal Twitter to squash rumors of her daughter's potential casting. While warning to not believe the gossip, she went on to thank the fans for the humbling suggestion.

According to Latinos Post, María told the press that her daughter does not know anything about the production and that rumors were spread via social media by Rivera's loyal fans. She stated that she was very happy that Rivera's supporters would even consider her daughter for the role.

María continued to say that if her daughter was chosen for the role she would not simply imitate the singer, but instead give a performance of respect and pay homage to the great songstress. Rivera is described by María as a woman with an honest and sweet personality.

Both María and Vale continue to show their love and respect for Rivera and her still dedicated fans, Vale finally stated that she would love to play Jenni Rivera, but has yet to confirm anything.
