Chiquis Rivera's book, "Perdon," is selling like hotcakes, but one person very close to her is not buying it...literally. According to an exclusive by TV y Novelas, Chiquis' grandfather, Don Pedro Rivera refuses to read his granddaughter's successful book. "I'm someone who has a lot of respect for my family and people," he said, giving the example that he has not ever read the book of his late daughter and singer Jenni Rivera.

Don Pedro emphasized that he will never read any of the books for the following reason. "I know them perfectly fine, Jenni since she was in her mother's womb and we raised Chiquis. I don't want to make my life miserable by reading negative stuff about them or finding out that someone attacked them or that they had to defend themselves in something. I prefer not to find out through the books."

He added: "I'm fine like this, because I don't want to have a negative image of anyone in my mind, and much less about my family." Fair enough reason Don Pedro!
