Millions of fans still mourn the loss of Jenni Rivera. the singer died on December 9, 2012, when the small plane she was traveling in crashed in the mountains of Northern México. Following the Quintanilla’s steps, The Rivera family organized “Jenni Vive,” an event that is planned to pay tribute to Rivera every year on July 2. This year the event will occur in Long Beach, California, where the singer grew up, and where ten thousand people are expected to show up to celebrate next to the singer's family members and special guest stars.

The Rivera family, via their official Instagram account, announced the complete lineup for the music festival. Joining already confirmed acts Becky G and Chiquis Rivera are, Regulo Caro, Chuy Lizárraga, Los Horóscopos de Durango, Karla Luna, Luz María, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Fidel Rueda, Mónica, and Banda Los Recoditos.

However, a lot of drama has been surrounding the Rivera family since Jenni’s death and this might hurt the future of the festival. According to TVyNovelas the conflict between Lupillo, Chiquis and Rosie Rivera is still resonating among fans who can’t seem to pick a side, and that is affecting ticket sales. Sources close to the event’s organization staff stated that they are experiencing difficulties to keep the show running, and sales are not doing as well as they expected.

On the other hand, sponsors and promoters have been backing down due to the lack of organization of the parties involved. It has also been said that the Rivera clan is not investing enough to guarantee the festival’s success. With just 3 days left, we hope the family comes together for one last push and can make the event happen.
