Turns out Jessica Alba is officially one of the richest women in the U.S. according to a new list published by Forbes Magazine. What’s different about this list from other celebrity lists is that Alba is self-made, as she co-founded The Honest Company, which sells organic, none harmful products for the whole family. The company recently closed a $100MM deal with Series D financing to expand their product line. The WSJ just reported the company at upwards of $1.7 billion, which bumped Alba’s fortune up to $340MM.

Despite the company’s small bump in the road last month with costumers complaining about its faulty sunscreen, sales are beaming and The Honest Company swears by the high quality of its tested, and FDA approved products. “The Honest Company is committed to providing safe and effective products, and we take all consumer feedback very seriously,” they said in a statement. “Our sunscreen lotion was tested, by an independent 3rd party, against the protocols prescribed by the U.S Food & Drug Administration’s (FDA) monograph for over-the-counter sunscreen products.”

The actress is tied in the list with bestselling novelist Nora Roberts and Texas oil mogul Kathy Lehne, and several spots above Beyoncé Knowles with $250MM and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki $300MM, and just $40 million shy of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.
