Jordana Brewster, Laverne Cox And Other Celebs Pose Nude For 'Allure'

Every year, Allure Magazine releases a spread where celebrities bare it all. The photo shoot is a tasteful piece that has the purpose to show the actresses’ natural beauty. No fancy clothes, and no make-up. This year, the beauties featured in the publication are: Jordana Brewster (“Fast and Furious”), Nicole Beharie (“Sleepy Hollow”), Sandrine Holt (“Terminator Genisys”), Katheryn Winnick (“Vikings”), and Laverne Cox (“Orange is the New Black”).

Brazilian actress, Jordana Brewster, told the magazine “There’s a strength to the portrait that I’m really proud of.” Brewster mentions that due to her role in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, she has worked hard to maintain her body. She runs six days a week, and also does acrobatic work. Being raised in Brazil for part of her life, the actress commented being open to nudity “The bikinis are kind of nonexistent, so you might as well be naked.”

Laverne Cox has been flooding the Internet due to the fact that she is the first transgender woman to participate in the photo shoot. “But I’m a black transgender woman. I felt this could be really powerful for the communities that I represent Black women are not often told that we’re beautiful unless we align with certain standards. Trans women certainly are not told we’re beautiful. Seeing a black transgender woman embracing and loving everything about her body might be inspiring for some folks. There’s a beauty in the things we think are imperfect. It sounds very cliché, but its true." Said the OITNB star to the magazine. Cox rejected the offer at first, but when she realized the impact she could make by appearing on the spread she agreed to do it.
