TV viewers went on an emotional rollercoaster Monday night after Desiree Hartsock gave her final rose to Chris Siegfried and yes, he popped the question, ending the show with a new happy couple ready to begin their journey together.
However, what fans of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" were waiting for, was the "After The Final Rose" special, where host Chris Harrison was set to announce the next Bachelor for the 18th season of the show.
And the title went to ... Juan Pablo Galavis!

This hot Venezuelan will become the first Latino Bachelor or Bachelorette in the franchise history. There have been a total of nine Bachelorettes, and Juan Pablo is the 17th Bachelor in 18 seasons, as Brad Womack starred on the show twice.
The 32-year-old was born in New York but grew up in Venezuela where he became a professional soccer player who retired in 2009 and moved to Miami with his daughter, Camila, who is now four years-old.
Although Desiree sent Juan Pablo home in episode six despite their strong physical connection, the commotion made by this Latino on the show had never been before, seen as host Chris Harrison pointed out during the Monday night special.
"In the history of this show, no guy has made a greater impact with less screen time," he said, so choosing him meant higher ratings for the show, and reaching a broader audience, since more Latinos will be interested in watching the upcoming season that starts January 2014.
Even Desiree was mesmerized with Juan Pablo at some point on the show. "He is so sensual and charming," she said. "Just his accent alone is sexy. He is like a dream of a man."
Juan Pablo was one of several names that had been rumored as possibilities in recent weeks. Others had included fellow Desiree suitors Drew Kenney and Zak Waddell and past "winner" Jef Holm, who became engaged to Emily Maynard in last year's Bachelorette finale, although they split in late 2012.
Although Juan Pablo wasn't too sure at first about becoming the new Bachelor, we're all glad he did.
"It was hard to make the decision," he told Chris Harrison. "I'm going to find hopefully the person who is going to join me and my daughter. That's what I'm looking for."
"That mom for [my daughter] Camila and someone I can spend many years [with] together," he added.
