Latin Music superstar sensation Juanes was one of the guests of honor for the Nobel Peace Prize concert. The Colombian artist made his third appearance in the special event that gives global recognition to those who fight for peace, this time at the special request of the Nobel Peace Prize winner, president of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos, who was honored at the ceremony.

“La Camisa Negra” singer had an astonishing performance at the stage of Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway in front of more than 8 thousand people that support the concept and desire of the Nobel Association to battle for Peace.

At the concert, Juanes shared with some other artists such as Sting, Icona Pop and the duo Marcus & Martinus, all these artists invited to the important event.

“Tonight is special because it’s al about Colombia. I would like to congratulate the president and his entire team for making this dream a reality, we know that the future will not be easy but this is the opportunity for Colombians to build the peace that we’ve dreamed so much,” said the singer at the end of the performance.

Juanes has been doing activism since he established the "Mi Sangre Foundation" to help victims of anti-personnel mines. The artist has participated on multiple concerts supporting peace all around the world, being his most controversial one the "Peace Concert In Cuba" in 2009, where he was accused of supporting communism.

The Nobel Peace Prize is one of the five Nobel Prizes created by the Swedish industrialist, inventor, and armaments creator Alfred Nobel, along with the awards in Chemistry, Physics, Physiology or Medicine, and Literature.
