Julián Gil
Telenovela star and host Julián Gil is thrilled to form part of the upcoming movie "Santiago Apóstol," which he says has changed his life.

It's been a successful ride for Julián Gil, who has done it all from acting in telenovelas, film and theater, and has even modeled and hosted many shows. However, the actor states that his new movie role as Apostol Santiago in the upcoming movie "Santiago Apóstol" has marked his life forever.

"The character has marked my life significally," he said to People En Español. "It's marked me because I feel that in every parliament the Lord is talking to me and using me as a tool of faith for those people who have the blessing of seeing the film." The Argentine-born actor said his leading role is one of those roles that every actor wishes they can interpret. He added that the timing couldn't have been better, especially now that he's fulfilled professionally and spiritually.

Gil and the rest of the "Santiago Apóstol" crew has spent their time filming in the ruins of Morocco, the deserts of Almeria in Spain and in the monasteries and landscapes of Galicia. Gil, who is also the new host of "Republica Deportiva," says both the trip and the film has changed his life and that now he's "more grateful, more human and more honest with his feelings and actions."

"Santiago Apóstol," produced by Jose Manuel Brandariz, is probably one of the most challenging films Gil has starred in. "The most difficult part is interpreting a historical character. I feel a lot of pressure and responsibility on my shoulders," he said.
