Karla Panini could not contain her happiness on social media when she tied the knot with her boyfriend Américo Garza earlier this month. In fact, she shared many photos of her special day on Twitter, including pictures of her dress, her husband and her guests. Many people on the Internet, however, criticized Panini for getting married. Why? Well, it turns out she married her former best friend's ex-husband.

The scandal between the two ex-friends began around two years ago when Panini, who is known for her role as "Comare Güera" on the popular Telehit show "Las Lavanderas," began to have a relationship with her co-worker's ex. Her colleague was no other than her sidekick Karla Luna, who portrayed "Comare Morena" on the show.

"There were a lot of mistakes, I felt empty. Precisely her ex-husband began working with us," explained Panini of how she met Garza. "I'm not saying I didn't betray here. Yes, I did wrong in not telling her, but the story has been told dramatically," she added in a nearly hour-long video interview posted on her Facebook page.

In the interview, she also revealed that she regrets being on "Las Lavanderas," the comedy show that showcased her talent around the world. "I regret being on 'Las Lavanderas' because it's not a job where I could grow professionally," she said. "Now I understand what God has planned for me, but I had to find out through my errors and failures."

In a post comment, Panini later clarified that she did not steal Luna's husband and that Luna was in fact divorced when she met Garza. "Karla Luna was already separated and in fact had a boyfriend," she wrote.

Panini and Luna, a cancer survivor, were all the rage with their hilarious presentations and show on Telehit. The girls called it quits in 2014 after Luna discovered Garza's relationship with Panini.

"There's a huge betrayal that I can't live with," stated Luna about the separation. "I can't continue, I can't be with the people who hurt me. I forgive them, but I can't be a part of this," she added ahead of their last show two years ago at Auditorio Río 70 in Monterrey, Mexico.
