Kim Kardashian received an early baby shower gift this week as boyfriend Kanye West spirited the reality "star" off for a weeklong vacation in Paris, Us Weekly reported.
An unnamed source close to Kardashian told Us the couple took the vacation just for fun; they're going on holiday "for a week just to chill. It's a little babymoon!" the source cringingly exclaimed.
An item for almost one year since they began dating last spring, the King and Queen of Over Exposure reportedly spent their first few days in town shopping at celebrity hot spots like the lavish Lavin and Celine stores, and dined at the exclusive L'Avenue restaurant, according to Us.
West announced Kardashian's pregnancy at a concert recently, calling her is "baby mama," and the two have apparently already bought their first home together in the swank California suburb of Bel Air. The world's humblest couple bought an $11 million starter mansion for their first home together sitting in a private gated community in the exclusive California zip code, according to TMZ.
The couple, which is expecting their first child together in June, plans to demolish the 10,000-square-foot home currently standing on the grounds to erect a 14,000 square foot Italian villa.
An unnamed source who spoke to TMZ said the mansion will be "an Italian-style villa, with a gym, movie theater, full hair and make-up salon, bowling alley, basketball court, and indoor and outdoor pool," and a nursery, too, of course, the source added.
When the couple moves into the neighborhood they'll join other American treasures like founder of the "Girls Gone Wild" entertainment franchise Joe Francis, actress Jennifer Aniston, and Los Angeles Clippers basketball player Chris Paul.
While Kardashian says she doesn't have any plans to get married to West just yet, by the time the couple welcomes their first child she's likely to still be married to basketball player Kris Humphries. She's reportedly desperate to finalize her divorce and is calling her estranged husband "spiteful and vindictive" for dragging out the process, sources told TMZ. Those divorce proceedings could last until at least this summer, though. Humphries won't proceed with the divorce unless Kardashian admits their 72-day marriage was fraud. His lawyers say the whole union was a charade for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," while the socialite says it was for love.
If Humphries and Kardashian can't reach a settlement soon, due to Humphries' basketball schedule, the earliest date for a divorce trial is June.
