"Kingdom Hearts III" is probably one of the most anticipated titles of 2014. The game was announced back at E3 2013 with no release date in sight. Then a couple of gameplay trailers were revealed and not much else but it hasn't stopped fans from wanting more from the title. Recently a few fans have uncovered that the game will arrive sometime late 2015 according to an Amazon product page.
However this was already known seeing as Square Enix put all its effort into "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix," which released Dec. 2. It is said that "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix" is the precursor for "Kingdom Hearts III." The company wanted to remind fans of the games story before the third installment releases.
Meanwhile comments made by the games co-director has led many fans to speculate that 'KH3' will see the inclusion of Marvel and Star Wars characters. Co-Director Tai Yasue told Kotaku that "there's a lot of new Disney stuff and we have our plates full."
With that said, previous statements made from series Creator Tetsuya Nomura has also encouraged fans to manage their expectations. "There are lots of rules and restrictions by Disney so we can't actually put in everything people want. We're gonna prepare some surprises for you so, just wait for the information," Nomura said.
While all this is just speculation we do know that 'KH3' will use Unreal Engine 4 and be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the near future.
