Kylie Bisutti gave up modeling during the peak of her Victoria Secret career because she wanted to honor her Christian faith. Bisutti who now lives with her husband Mike in Montana, has written a book about her experiences, "I'm No Angel: From Victoria Secret Model to Role Model" details the struggles she encountered while feeling exploited by the modeling and fashion industry.

Bisutti claims that she felt deep shame during her modeling career, telling the New York Post "I felt like a piece of meat." After living out her life's dream as a model, Bisutti soon realized the life of a model is not as glamorous as it appears to be.

"One of my roommates was so bulimic, she would involuntarily throw up when she ate," she recalled. "She would go to sleep crying every night and just look at herself in the mirror thinking that she was so fat. And she was so thin."

Bisutti even revealed the secrets to her crash diets, Kylie restricted herself to only consuming fruits, vegetables and oatmeal, which helped her fit into the pressures of the industry. She weighed a mere 115 pounds at 5'10".

As her career was taking off, Bisutti attended a church youth group with a friend; there she became inspired to become a practicing Christian. However, her new career as a lingerie model did not mix well with her newfound faith.

In 2009, she was among 10,000 women to try out for the Victoria's Secret Angel Search competition, and she won. During one of her very first shoots as an acclaimed "Angel," Bisutti posed in a sheer bikini, although she was promised that it would not look see-through due to Photoshop.

But just a few weeks later, she explained, she searched her own name on Google and discovered the revealing photos on a pornographic website. "It was heartbreaking for me," she recalled.

The turning point in her life came when after meeting her husband Mike, she was told by a photographer to "hold up the covers like you don't have any panties on." The former lingerie model says that in that moment she had a revelation, "I was being paid to strip down and pose provocatively to titillate men," she said. "It wasn't about modeling clothes anymore; I felt like a piece of meat."

The day after the shoot, Bisutti told her agent that she would no longer model lingerie. Now, Bisutti says she is happy and healthy at 124 pounds, living a low-key life.
