Miguel Ángel Fox, producer of “La Voz México,” revealed earlier this month that Julión Álvarez was returning for the fifth season of the reality singing competition.

Álvarez, who was one of the coaches during season four and helped contestant Guido Rochin take home the win, will team up with coach J Balvin and will be sharing his musical expertise with the aspiring singers as co-coach of “Team Balvin.”

“We have talked before, not just now that we are together in the show and on the same team,” Álvarez said of his relationship with the Colombian urbar star. “We met at the Azteca during an award ceremony and then two or three times in Miami, and at that point were practically buddies. Now that we are working together, we have to keep in touch. It’s a friendlier and nicer experience.”

The 33-year-old singer talked to the press after one of his concerts in Tijuana on Saturday and revealed that he is already thinking about possible collaborations with the “Ginza” performer and Los Tigres del Norte, who are also part of the coach panel this season.

“With J Balvin, if it [a collaboration] could happen…now that we are already working together if we could do something else and record it, done,” he said during the interview. “I really do like the idea of working with him because I have more contact with Los Tigres del Norte, if I had had more space in my latest album ['Mis Ídolos, Hoy Mis Amigos!!!'] I would’ve reached out to them next.”

Álvarez and Balvin recently joined forces with Juan Gabriel in “La Frontera,” one of the most popular singles of “El Divo de Juárez” latest album “Los Dúo 2.” So, it is just a matter of time before these two hit the studio together.

In the meantime, you can catch them on “La Voz México” comepeting against other great Latino artists such as, Gloria Trevi, Alejandro Sanz, Paty Cantú, Diego Torres and Manuel Carrasco.
