Earlier in the week, the news broke that "X Factor" judge Simon Cowell was about to become a father for the first time. Many wondered what made him change his mind about having kids, but the most shocking part of the whole thing was the baby mama.

It turns out that he had been having an affair with Lauren Silverman, a New York socialite married to Andrew Silverman, who happened to be one of Simon's closest friends.
According to sources, "Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while. As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close."
Ironically, Cowell was the co-respondent on the divorce papers filed by Andrew two weeks ago. The papers cited "adultery" as the reason for why Andrew was ending the marriage. Silverman publicly said that the pregnancy is, "an unbelievable story of betrayal. It is a sad story and a tragic story."

After Andrew found out who the father of the baby of her estranged wife was, he has been playing the victim for the media according to Lauren's close friends. TMZ reported that Simon Cowell's baby mama was finally speaking out and said that she is outraged by Andrew's "shock" about her affair with the former "American Idol" judge.
She said her soon-to-be ex-husband knew what was going on the whole time and he was doing the same thing. According to TMZ, sources close to Lauren said Andrew was partying around the world and sleeping around with girls in various continents, and that's what made her seek comfort in the arms of Simon.
Adding to that, she said that her relationship with Simon evolved in the eyes of her husband and he never said anything about it. He knew that they were talking several times a day and it was obvious what was going on. He didn't complain either when she took a trip to England by herself to visit Cowell.
Lauren also cleared the record up, according to TMZ, saying that she's not a gold-digger as the media is portraying her, but she's only concerned about the custody of her 7-year-old with Andrew. The father wants full custody, but Lauren says she'll fight for the primary custody because she says she's the better parent.
