It has been announced that “The Legend of Korra” Season 2, "Book Two: Spirits," will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray this summer with tons of special features! Season two of the hit Nickelodeon animated series will arrive July 1. According to IGN, the Blu-ray exclusive features will contain audio commentaries, behind the scenes animation, a look creating the show, a "retelling of Korra's Journey" and "Kindred Spirits," a family tree of the show's relationships. The DVD will also feature audio commentaries and the "Kindred Spirits" feature.
While we know the second season of “The Legend of Korra” will arrive on Blu-ray and DVD July 1, the release date for season three is still up in the air. It is said season three will arrive this summer although season two aired last fall in September. Multiple sites are claiming that "Book Three: Change" will arrive alongside season two, "Book Two: Spirit," Blu-ray and DVD July 1.
Meanwhile co-creator Bryan Konietzko revealed a glimpse of the upcoming “Legend of Korra” "Book Two: Spirits" art book (check out the glimpse below). Konietzko shared on his Tumblr blog, “This thing will be on its way to the printers soon. Can’t wait for you guys to see it!” While he didn’t reveal the release date Amazon currently has the art book scheduled to release early September.
