New reports suggest that Korra and the rest of the Avatar gang will have yet another villain to face in season three of Nickelodeon's hit animated series "The Legend of Korra." We're already more than half way through the season and already the roster of bad guys is astounding.
Of the current villains, there is Zaheer, Ghazan, Ming-Hua and P'Li who are among the baddest bad guys of the series, even the franchise! Honestly, gaging their moves they could easily take on Aang, Zuko and the Fire Lord. Even with the four listed main bad guys there is yet another. According to BreatheCast Varrick, who appeared in Zaofu, may actually be revealed as another villain for Korra to face in season three, "Book Three: Change."
You may remember Varrick from season two as the eccentric and charismatic non-bending billionaire. Last time we actually see Varrick is in Republic City but we find out after he goes on the run he takes refuge in Zaofu. BreatheCast makes a good point in saying that "The Legend of Korra" series isn't one to bring back characters into the show for no reason, and perhaps Varrick's return forebodes something major in the plot. What that is, is undetermined as of right now.
From the interaction we seen between Varrick and team Avatar he seems on the straight and narrow path but that could all be an act. From what we know of Varrick his only motivator is money. Could his pursuit for more wealth lead him to a path of evil? Perhaps or maybe we're just reaching.
Whatever the reason is tune in to "The Legend of Korra" Friday July 25 for two brand new episodes. Maybe we'll learn more about Varrick's role in "The Terror Within" or "The Stakeout."
