Lindsey Vonn has been a hot topic of discussion in recent weeks as her relationship with professional golfer Tiger Woods continues to develop. While talks surrounding the celebrity couple focus on a potential engagement between the athletes, Vonn was once again the focus of multiple media outlets at a recent awards ceremony in New York City.

Attending the Council of Fashion Designers of America awards in New York's Lincoln Center, the Associated Press reports the Olympic gold medal skier was taken to a nearby restroom where a urine sample was collected by the United States Anti-Doping Agency. The 28-year-old's sample was sent to a lab, but tests results were not immediately available.

The awkward time of the testing didn't seem to bother the Olympian since Vonn understands random drug testing is part of Olympic protocol and Olympians are even required to fill out forms notifying the Anti-Doping Agency of their changing locations. "She understands it is part of the job," Vonn's spokesman Lewis Kay told the Associated Press.

Vonn reportedly received a call from the International Olympic Committee on her cell phone while sitting at her table during the ceremony. The skier is currently training for the 2014 Winter Olympics set to be held in Sochi, Russia and needing Vonn's sample, drug testers ushered Vonn into the restroom where no one was allowed in until testing was complete.

"Lindsay met the IOC at the bathroom," said a source close to the situation. "Cynthia stood guard outside, and no one was allowed to enter the bathroom. They were in there for about five minutes."

Wearing a custom-made Cynthia Rowley gown, Vonn's testing did not cause a disturbance at all as the awards ceremony that featured A-list celebrities such as former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren, went on without skipping a beat.

A decorated Olympic champion, Lindsey Vonn won Gold in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics in the downhill competition and followed that tremendous performance up with a bronze medal in the Super-G. The superstar also won gold medals in 2009 in the World Championships in the same competitions.

As she continues to recover from a significant knee injury while training for the Olympics and supporting her boyfriend Tiger Woods, Vonn continues to control each situation she's in with nothing but grace. Asked by the New York Post if she's been receiving rehabilitation help from Woods since he's battled knee injuries in the past, Vonn noted that Tiger has been a definite source of comfort. "He's obviously been through it so he can relate," she said to the NY Post. "It's good to have a strong support system."

Tiger Woods is preparing for the upcoming U.S. Open set to begin on June 6 from Merion Golf Course in Ardmore, Pennsylvania and you can be sure that when she's not training or rehabbing her injured knee, Lindsey Vonn will be on the other side of the ropes cheering on her No. 1 ranked beau as he aims to win his first major championship since winning the 2008 U.S. Open.
