It’s no secret that FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has not had the successful season he envisioned. Suarez has been in a scoring slump for most of the year, but on Sunday he let the world know that he when he does score, it’s sensational. Suarez hammered home a scissor kick goal in Barcelona’s 5-0 victory over Levante, and somehow managed to steal the spotlight from teammates Neymar and Lionel Messi.

Neymar scored the opening goal and Messi netted a hat trick to tie him with Cristiano Ronaldo for the most all-time in La Liga history with 23. Despite Messi’s heroics in his 300th career La Liga game, it was Suarez who stole show. After Neymar knocked in the first goal in the 17th minute, Messi scored the next three before Suarez brought the crowd to his feet with his superb scissor kick goal.

The Catalan squad kept a clean sheet for a record 22nd time this season and with the victory moved within a point of Real Madrid for the Primera Division title. Next up for Barcelona is Malaga before a Champions League clash with Manchester City on February 24th. Adding more intrigue to the matchup is the rumors that Messi could be headed to Manchester City at the end of the La Liga season.
