Lupita Nyong'o has already stolen our hearts with her down to earth personality and her amazing talent as an Academy Award winning actress. Now the beauty is showing off another hidden talent of hers- rapping!
In a brief Instagram clip, the actress is showing off her skills rapping over Nas’ “NY State of Mind” from one of the best hip-hop albums ever, Illmatic. Throughout her hot verse, the actress talks about her heritage, beauty deals, Disney, and some of her acting roles.
"Mexican born, Kenya running through my veins/Dark chocolate, plus I keep a sharp mane/Lancôme fresh-faced, looking tailor-made/Disney on the books, so you know I stay paid," she raps. We have to admit that the beauty looks fab rapping in the backseat of the car rocking black shades and a white and black frock. The actress also takes the time to shout out her co-star David Oyelowo who is featured in her latest film project, Queen of Katwe.
Although the actress did have some help putting together her verse, from her good friend Robyn Hood, you have to admit this hidden talent gives the actress a nice touch of swag. At the end of the rap she gives her driver a handshake as he compliments her on her skills. It’s nice to see celebs kick back and do something out of the ordinary that let’s us know she is just like us, only famous!
The beauty reached a milestone on Instagram with having three million followers and she shouts them out at the end of her rap. Now we wonder what’s going to happen once she doubles her number in followers. Maybe she might rap to Biggie Smalls.
