Early this week a leaked image out of China supported claims that Apple's MacBook Pro will see some major improvements under the hood.

The picture revealed Apple's15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display would get 16GB of RAM as standard. Comparatively the current 15-inch models only come with 8GB, which you can obviously upgrade. But if Apple actually bundles 16GB of RAM as standard, then users will see a noticeable difference in performance. It also revealed that the MacBook would come with a Core i7 processor. Furthermore the 2.2GHz MacBook Pro will feature Intel Iris Pro graphics, while the other models tote GeForce GT 750M GPUs with 2GB GDDR5 memory.

Well now it seems that the picture was right and Apple's MacBook Pro now has a little more power under its hood. The 13-inch entry level MacBook features a 2.6GHz Core i5 and 8GB RAM, while two further 13-inch models come with a 2.6GHz or a 2.8GHz Core i5, with that second 2.6GHz model simply having a 256GB SSD instead of 128GB.

As for the 15-inch MacBook Pro model everything the leaked picture detailed has come true. All models now come with 16GB RAM as standard, there are two processor options including a 2.2GHz or 2.5GHz Core i7 plus you can upgrade to a 2.8GHz Core i7 with 4GHz Turbo Boost for $200.

As for pricing the three 13-inch models are $1,299, $1,499, and $1,799. While the 15-inch models are $1,999 or $2,499. If you max out the high-end 15-inch Pro with the 2.8GHz Core i7 and 1TB SSD be prepared to pay $3,199.
