Maripily Rivera, Puerto Rican model and business woman, broke up with her fiancé Alberto Rodríguez. He is a radio mogul in Puerto Rico, the Chief Operating Officer of Spanish Broadcasting System. She confirmed the news to Primera Hora. She said her decision was final and there was no turning back.
“We broke up because of irreconcilable differences and lies that I do not tolerate,” she told Primera Hora. They made their relationship public in 2013. Last December, Alberto proposed to Rivera in Miami, accompanied by mariachis, and endless amount of gifts and of course the ring. One week later Maripily announced she would be getting married in her place of birth, Ponce.
On April 7, the model announced that the wedding would be postponed due to the fact that she had to take care of her 13-year old son Joe Joe, because he had started to act rebellious. This happened after he had been visiting Puerto Rico for his spring break.
When she called off the wedding, she said that it had nothing to do with her relationship with Rodríguez or had nothing to do with jealousy, but an act of rebellion from her son. Apparently, things didn’t work out for her and the mogul. But you can be sure, she will find someone soon enough!
