Pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather steps into the ring on Saturday night for what he claims will be the final time as he gets set for 12 rounds of toe-to-toe action with Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Forty-eight fighters have stepped into the ring with Floyd "Money" Mayweather, and all 48 have failed to score a victory against the fighter who believes he is "the best ever."

Andre "The Beast" Berto will look to buck that trend and hand Mayweather his first loss, and deny him the chance to tie Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0.

Many believe that Berto is an underwhelming opponent for Mayweather who comes off a 12 round unanimous decision in the "Fight of the Century," against Manny Pacquiao.

Berto is 3-3 in his last six fights and is an extreme long shot to upset Mayweather. Berto has the size and strength to potentially cause Mayweather some damage, but if the great defensive tactician is on his game, he will be virtually untouchable for Berto.

Mayweather will look to hang up the gloves 49-0 and with mumblings of a 50th fight against Pacquio or Amir Khan sure to start up the second the fight ends on Saturday.

Nearly all of Mayweather's last 13 fights (11) have gone to the scorecards after 12 rounds, and we so no reason why the fight against Berto won't be the same. Mayweather may get caught on the chin with a hard punch or to, but once he feels Berto's strength, he will get on his bicycle and be backpedaling and boxing the rest of the match.

Prepare yourself for a vintage Mayweather fight (which means boring), as the slower Berto will try and chase Mayweather around the ring looking to land a big blast, while repeatedly getting hit with jabs and counter punches.

Prediction: Floyd Mayweather by Unanimous Decision.
