The Met Gala 2017 is one of our favorite events of the year because it brings the biggest stars together in wacky costumes. This year Rei Kawakubo is being celebrated for her visionary outlook in fashion. The Japanese designer is the first solo artist to have an exhibited dedicated to them since 1983 when Yves Saint Laurent was showcased. As you may know, Kawakubo is the founder of Comme des Garçons, the fashion brand that has made its mark in the industry.

"Rei Kawakubo is one of the most important and influential designers of the past 40 years," Bolton commented to Vogue.com. "By inviting us to rethink fashion as a site of constant creation, recreation, and hybridity, she has defined the aesthetics of our time."

Jennifer Lopez was one of the stars to grace us with her presence at the Met Gala. The "Shades Of Blue" star made her way through the red carpet in a Valentino gown that was enchanting. JLo did not go on her own and she brought her man Alex Rodriguez to the event where they both looked adorably in love.

Another couple that looked like they were so into each other were Selena Gomez and The Weeknd that are not shying away from showing off their love to the world.

Other Latino stars that were at the gala were Thalia, La La Anthony and Salma Hayek.

Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner also made an appeareance as well as Rihanna, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Amy Schumer and many more. Scroll-through the photo gallery above and tell us what you think of the best and worst looks of the night!
