President Donald Trump is putting on the table different ideas for the budget of the border wall to be approved. Ironically, after the president withdrew the United States from the Paris climate accord, he proposes an ecological idea that seeks to turn the border into a source of energy.

Steve Scalise, a Republican party representative, said that Trump wants to implement the use of solar panels as a barrier, and sell the energy generated to Mexico. "One idea they are contemplating is that the wall could work as a solar panel, so it would pay for itself," Scalise told The Hill.

Some connoisseurs of the subject indicate that the project is viable and would be beneficial to the United States, while others consider it a crazy idea and will not work, especially because Democratic senators oppose funding the proposal.

At the moment it is unknown where the idea came from, but Trump continues to insist that Mexico will pay for the construction of the barrier between both countries, a situation that the Mexican government has rejected again and again.

The money needed to pay for that wall has been as controversial as the wall itself. Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz introduced a two-page bill, in which he advises the US government to use the money confiscated from Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzman and the Sinaloa cartel to finance the construction of the wall On the border with Mexico.

On January 25, 2017, Trump signed the executive order to begin the construction of a border wall with Mexico. There he establishes a new vision to strengthen the borders of his country and increase efforts to deport some of the 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States.

"A nation without borders is not a nation," Trump said during his speech at the headquarters of the Department of Homeland Security. "From today, the United States once again takes control of its borders."
