The release date for "Mighty No. 9" has been revealed. "Mega Man" creator Keiji Inafune announced today that the title will arrive in North America and Asia on June 21 and will be available worldwide June 24, reports IGN.

A post from the "Mighty No. 9's" website states that the title has gone gole and is now in its "final stages" of production. After facing multiple delays, the game's release date is "set in stone." Inafune then talked about the game's process and how the fans made this title possible.

"It's been almost three years since the start of our Kickstarter campaign," Inafune said, "which was only made possible through the support of our backers and fans around the world."

While the delays have left fans disappointed, the developer is "happy to be able to deliver the game to everyone who brought [it] this far."

Inafune has spoken openly about the stress of developing "Mighty No. 9" and the consistent delays certainly added to that. However, Inafune tells fans that there will be "no further delays" for "Mighty No. 9."

"Mighty No. 9" will first hit consoles on June 21 and June 24 with portable versions for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS to "follow at a later point."

Previously, the game was originally slated to release in April 2015. However, on April 28, Comcept announced that the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC versions of the game will be released in September 2015. The delay was to allow for the company to take further time and resources to polish the title as well as to add Japanese and French voice-overs.

Then in August 2015 it was announced once again that the title would be delayed until the first quarter of 2016, citing unresolved bugs and issues with online features. And then once more on Jan. 25, Inafune announced the game would be delayed a third time due to more bugs found. At that time it was said "Mighty No. 9" would arrive in the second quarter of 2016. However, this new information tells us we'll get our hands on the title as early as next month.
