A new Miss Universe 2017 was crowned in the Philippines with the title going to Iris Mittenaere from France. The beauty queen edged out the representatives from Haiti and Colombia, the two Latinas that were left in the competition. What do we know about the new pageant winner? The winner of Miss Universe will immediately move to a luxury apartment in New York City, which will be her home base while she spends her reign traveling the globe, developing and representing her platforms, and raising awareness and funds for charitable initiatives.
