Modern Family Halloween

At this point, anyone who watches ABC's "Modern Family" knows Claire’s competitive personality and also, the fact that Halloween is her favorite holiday of all time. For this reason, she tries to go all out every year by transforming her house in to whichever spooky theme her heart desires. Needless to say, not every member of the family is as into it as Claire is, so things never really go smoothly. It appears like this year, Phil Dunphy refuses to become a crucial part of the psychiatric ward as a doctor and decides to wear a rainbow suit and hat with a happy face t-shirt. “You got a problem lady, this obsessive need to be dark and scary you can’t even stop yourself,” Phil tells his wife when she complains about his attire.

As for Gloria, she always plays along just to please Claire, but she’s not that competitive or into the holiday for that matter. Apparently the Pritchetts dress up as Fiona, Shrek, and dress little Fulgencio as Donkey. This will possibly upset Claire, no end, since they are far removed from the chosen theme.

Some have been hinting at the fact that Cam might bring Fizzbo back in the spookiest of ways and since he’s already a clown, there’s no need to do much. If this is not the case, from the looks of the sneak peeks, Cam might take the super hero route and Mitch seems to be very uninterested in the holiday.

The Dunphy kids are acting their usual selves in their costumes as Hailey dresses up with her hospital gown on backwards because “sexy people go crazy too.” Luke is wearing a straitjacket and falls asleep on his feet since it feels like a “Temple Grandin hug,” and Alex is tied to a gurney continuously complaining about how inappropriate that is. As for their neighbors, they are super offended as Claire’s psych ward theme hits literally, too close to home.
