If you watched Super Bowl XLIX you were lucky enough to watch one of the most exciting games you’ll see in a lifetime. The battle between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks was that of a heavyweight fight: both sides exchanging blows, with neither team able to knock out their opponent. As great as the game was however, there was another battle that took place between the Patriots and Seahawks over Super Bowl weekend that may have been even better. It was the Seattle Seahawks running back, Marshawn Lynch, versus the New England Patriots tight end Rob Grokowski in a death match for the ages.

The game was Mortal Kombat X, a soon to be released upgrade on the original Mortal Kombat video game that you used to play in the arcade as a kid. The host of the gauntlet was none other than TBS late night star, Conan O’Brien, and the venue was a Courtyard by Marriott meeting room. I know it may not sound exciting to watch two all-pro athletes play a video game for 12 minutes, but when O’Brien is cracking jokes, Lynch is eating Skittles, and Gronkowski is auditioning for a Viagra commercial, its one hell of a ride.

Lynch made headlines over Super Bowl weekend by showing up to NFL mandated press conferences and snubbing the media with lines like: “I’m only here so I don’t get fined,” and “You know why I’m here.” Lynch’s silent treatment stops for this segment. In fact, the man who is notorious for rarely speaking doesn’t stop talking during the 12 minute clip. Lynch stole the show with Marshawnisms such as; “They make women monkeys,” “Africa is coming out of the ground on you,” “It’s getting real in the field,” “She blew a bubble and she blew a bee,” “Point blank! In broad daylight,” “Rock-a-bye Baby” “That’s that new jack city boy,” “lick the gun,” “this ain’t no church conversation right here,” and “Hit him with the Dougie.”

If that wasn’t enough to highlight the Seattle star, Conan released a second clip of just Marshawn Lynch outtakes from the 12-minute video game battle that is four minutes of just Lynch talking. For anyone who hasn’t seen the original video, we posted it below and we recommend you watching the Lynch outtakes right after. For those interested in purchasing Mortal Kombat X, there will be two new characters for the game: Ermac and Reptile. The game is slated to be released later this year and will be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.
