After a thrilling opening round that saw three of the four games end with margins of three points or less, the 2013-2014 NFL Playoffs move from the Wild Card round to the Divisional Round, with a slate chock full of appetizing match-ups once again. The Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs opened the postseason with one of the most memorable playoff games in recent time, upping the level of excitement for fans around the globe. Moving on by way of a 45-44 win, the Colts and quarterback Andrew Luck made it known that they’re capable of winning any style of game, coming back from a 28-point deficit at home to shock Andy Reid and the Chiefs.

Luck, a second-year pro, may have shown his ability to persevere after a shaky start but New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees proved that the cold weather doesn’t bother his squad, as they took down the Philadelphia Eagles 26-24. Kickoff for the second NFC Wild Card between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers showcased what true winter weather is like but despite the 5-degree kickoff temperature, Colin Kaepernick and the Niners were able to take care of business at the Frozen Tundra while Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers manhandled the Cincinnati Bengals in Ohio, 27-10.

Now that the divisional round teams are known, the NFL recently released the schedule for the upcoming NFC and AFC Divisional Round slate. AFC West division rivals Denver and San Diego will meet at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday, January 12 at 4:40pm, ET while Indianapolis travels to New England for an 8:15pm, ET kickoff on Saturday, January 11.
