Former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez may have died from cancer earlier this year, but his presence is reportedly still making its way around Venzuela. Current Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro alleges that Chavez's face was seen by workers on a construction site wall in the middle of the night. "My hair stands on end just telling you about it," said Maduro on state TV, adding a photo of a white-plaster wall with marks that resemble a face. "Who is that face? That gaze is the gaze of the fatherland that is everywhere around us, including in inexplicable phenomena."

The president added that workers who were building the subway line took a picture with their mobile phone to capture the brief moment while it lasted. "Just as it appeared, so it disappeared. So you see, what you say is right, Chavez is everywhere, we are Chavez, you are Chavez," said Maduro on live television. This isn't the first time Maduro made such claims, as he has claimed to have been visited by Chavez's spirit several times since his predecessor's passing.

These stories may be a ploy on the part of Chavez to gain support from Venezuelans, but if that is the case, his endeavours are backfiring as most people find the claims to be an embarrassment and don't believe Maduro's claims. It has been estimated that half of Venezuelands do not support Maduro and many blame him for the country's problems. Here are four embarassing moments of Nicolas Maduro:

1. Maduro once said Chavez appeared to him as a "very small bird" to give him a blessing before his campaign. Maduro explained: "I felt him there, like he was giving us his blessing, saying: 'Today the battle starts. Go to the victory. You have our blessings.' That is how I felt it in my soul." 2. Earlier this summer, Maduro was speaking at the Miranda Stadium when he was quoting a biblical anecdote and said "penises" instead of "fishes." He stated: "Multiply ourselves, like Christ multiplied the penises." 3. Maduro has even been quoted to have said: "Every time I see the mountain, I see Chavez appear on the mountain." 4. Maduro was biking during an event when he fell off his bicycle. But major propz to the Venezuelan president, as he made light of the situation and handled it with grace.
