Thousands of half-naked Colombians took to the streets over the weekend to for “Dia Sin Pantalones,” No Pants Day. The celebration of scantily-cladness is inspired by flash mobs that started United States and spread abroad. Subway riders from New York to Prague celebrate No Pants Day in the form of an annual bottomless commute. In Medellín, however, the Metro authority has blocked organizers from baring booties. No matter; Medellinenses took their celebration to the above ground by the thousands.

“I like to show my body. I don’t see any shame in it. I like freedom of expression, and that’s why I’m here,” said one male marcher, as he held hands with a female marcher, in a video produced by Noticias Sin. The man wore red boxers with matching wings. His companion, visibly pregnant, painted her belly with the words “I love you” (in English).

While there weren’t too many selfies on social media, the revelers did appear to be having a good time. Photos of the event showed many skateboarding, dancing, and experimenting with fashion and body decoration. According to weather reports, the sun was shining, and no earthquakes occurred.

Videos of the 2014 and 2015 Dia Sin Pantalones shows a fairly large turnout for Medellín, Colombia’s second largest city.
