Tonight is an all-new episode of "Once Upon a Time" on ABC, and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook's (Colin O'Donoghue) love will face the ultimate test.
From the promo trailer for "Firebird," we know that the clock is ticking for Emma to find a way to get everyone back home and out of the underworld. And we know Emma and Hook will go to the most dangerous place in hell to find what it is they need to leave hell once and for all.
Furthermore, ABC released a few sneak peek trailers. The first shows Hades (Greg Germann) being visited by Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Pan (Robbie Kay) who has Zelena (Rebecca Mader) in tow. When Gold proves he has leverage over him, Hades rips up the contract in order to get Zelena back.
In the second clip we see Hades asking for Emma's help in rescuing a kidnapped Zelena from Gold and Pan. If she helps him, he offers to take everyone's names off the gravestones, which would mean they can leave the Underworld.
According to Futon Critic, the synopsis for episode 20, "Firebird," reads: "Hades turns to the heroes to ask for help with getting Zelena back from Rumplestiltskin and Peter Pan. In return, he offers to take all their names off their tombstones. However, when Hook is still unable to leave, he and Emma must journey into the depths of the Underworld. Meanwhile, Cruella De Vil is determined to keep the heroes trapped in the Underworld. In flashbacks, Emma searches for answers about her family and makes an unexpected friendship."
Guest stars in tonights episode include Emma Caulfield as the Blind Witch, Victoria Smufit as Cruella De Vil, Rya Kihlstedt as Cleo, Geoff Gustafson as Stealthy, Bronwen Smith as Cashier and Max Chadburn as Tasha.
"Once Upon a Time" episode 20, "Firebird," will air on Sunday, May 1, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. It will also be available the next day on abc.com, iTunes, Hulu, Amazon and more.
