"Orange is the New Black" season 4 news, rumors and speculations. Netflix/Orange is the New Black

New reports suggest that the "Orange Is The New Black" Season 3 release date won't be until June 2015. Unfortunately, the rumored air date is so far away it's unfair! Thankfully, details of the upcoming season have surfaced and it might just be enough to hold us over until the next season of OITNB arrives.

The first season of the Netflix original series was released July 11, 2013. Season 2 of "Orange Is The New Black" was released June 2014. It's a no-brainer that speculators are expecting a June 2015 release for the next season of the series. Unlike the strategy of traditional TV networks, Netflix boldly released the full season of "Orange Is The New Black" Season 1 and Season 2 at once. Given the success of the Netflix original series, it's safe to say that the pioneering model works.

During press interviews following the release of "Orange Is The New Black" Season 2, stars Taylor Schilling and Uzo Adubo dropped a number of serious details on the upcoming Season 3. First, co-star Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, had been noticeably absent from a significant portion of Season 2. Now, Prepon is confirmed to return full-time to OITNB Season 3. That's right-- all Vause, all the time!

"It sucked because [show creator] Jenji Kohan and I wanted me to be in it more, but with the schedule, it didn't happen," explained Laura Prepon. "I was so bummed out. But I handled it, so I'm in every [episode] in season three. It is so good."

"All the girls are so close, I feel like I never left," Pepron added. "Or like I was there all of season 2. We all wanted me to be there for more of season 2."

Prepon also revealed more about Alex Vause's relationship with Taylor Schilling's Piper Chapman. According to the actress, Season 3 will feature multiple sex scenes between Alex and Piper. Laura Pepron also noted that a major sex scene for Season 3 is in store. "We're like, 'Girl, thank God we're so comfortable!' I can't say much."

Now that Alex is back, other characters that were heavily present in Season 2 may be less involved in Season 3. Actor Jason Biggs confirmed that he has not filmed anything for Season 3, which tells us his character Larry Bloom will not have much focus in the upcoming season. According to Vulture, Pablo "Pornstache" Schreiber will still be stuck in prison during Season 3 as well. That said, Schreiber's mother will be introduced as a new character in Season 3. No doubt, "Orange Is The New Black" Season 3 will be awesome when it arrives in June 2015. In the meantime, stay tuned as we continue to reveal more details!
